Bashundhara Group Managing Director gets TRUB Award

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir has been accorded special honourary award at the 28th edition of Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB).

He got the award for his contribution to the field of industry, business and sport. Noted litterateur and Kaler kantho editor-in-chief Imdadul Haq Milan received the Award on behalf of Sayem Sobhan Anvir. The award giving ceremony was held at the Grand Ballroom at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital on Thursday.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Besides, former Communication Minister Syed Abul Hossain received award for his contribution to the field of education, novelist Imdadul Haq Milan for literature and journalist Shyamal Dutta for journalism.

 Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud thanked the TRUB for honouring the enlightened ones and inspiring others to do social goods.

“Although we are not so developed like Europe and America, we have rich culture. Many of our artistes have been recognised internationally. We need to retain our fundamental culture. It is very important for us,” he said.

ATN Bangla Advisor (programme coordinator and transmission) Tasik Ahmed, Bangladesh Cine Journalist Association President Raju Alim and Aksah (Beximco) Chief Financial Officer Md Luthfor Rahman attended the event as the special guests.
