Bashundhara Group has facilitated iftar for over 4 lakh people across the country making the holy month of Ramadan this year, according to estimates of local organisers.
On behalf of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, local organisers reached the iftar items to underprivileged people, madrasah students, and orphans in Rangpur, Manikganj, Keraniganj in Dhaka, Rupganj in Narayanganj and different other parts of the country.
The iftar programme continued till the 25th of Ramadan when respective organisations and madrasahs went on holiday. Around 20,000 people get iftar from Bashundhara Group each day of the holy month.
The iftar meals have touched hundreds of thousands of people in cities to remote villages.
The industrial conglomerate is providing iftar for 3,000 devotees at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque each day of Ramadan. Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee facilitated the initiative.
Musalli Committee President Eakub Ali and General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Manik are supervising the iftar distribution programme.
Mizanur Rahman Manik said iftar is being distributed at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque for the third year in a row by Bashundhara Group.
"Every day, 3,000 fasting people are getting iftar from Bashundhara Group. Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir is supporting the initiative,” he said.
