Bashundhara City Shopping Mall Shows The Way

Country's premium marketplace Bashundhara City shopping mall reopened on Friday maintaining health guidelines for traders and shoppers. Traders resumed their business activities around two months after closure of the mall on March 26. Bashundhara Group was the first to shut its shopping mall to ensure social distancing after corona cases were detected in the country. Following its example, other shopping malls of the country were declared shut. Despite the government’s permission, Bashundhara Group refrained from reopening its shopping mall ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. Because of closure of the mall, the largest business conglomerate embraced huge loss considering welfare of the country and its people. Bashundhara Shopping Mall In-charge Sheikh Abdul Alim said the shopping centre opened ensuring proper safety and security for all inbound people. "Necessary hand sanitizers have been kept at all the entrances as well as at all the shops. Besides, security personnel are screening the body temperature of visitors entering the mall,” he added. Alim also requested all visitors and shoppers to wear mask before entering the mall. Traders and shoppers also expressed satisfaction over the decision of reopening the shopping centre.
