Bashundhara Cement Strikes Deal to Supply 30,000-ton Cement

Bashundhara Cement, a sister concern of Bashundhara Group, struck a deal with Bestec Construction Ltd Sunday to supply 30,000 tonnes of cement annually for a major project of the construction company. Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, the largest business conglomerate of the country, and Managing Director of Bestec Architect Tariqul Islam inked the deal on behalf of their respective sides at East West Media Group complex in the afternoon.

Bestec expressed its interest in using Bashundhara cement in one of their big projects after they became satisfied with the quality of prominent cement brand, officials of Bashundhara Cement said. “The cement produced in the country’s first, largest and latest factory will be used in Bestec’s RMC plant,” said one of the company officials. Chairman of Bestec Construction Ltd Enayet Kabeer, also RMC Plant in-charge, was present at the signing ceremony.

Mohammad Abu Tayeb, adviser (press and media) of Bashundhara Group, Engr AKM Mahbub-uz-Zaman, deputy managing director of Bashundhara Cement, MM Jasim Uddin, head of brand and marketing of Bashundhara Group, Khandaker Kingshuk Hossain, general manager (sales, cement sector), Md Moniruzzaman, sales in-charge (institution sales, cement sector) and Ashikur Rahman, brand manager of Bashundhara Group, were among others present. RMC plant engineer Mashfiq-uz-Zaman and general manager Mahfuz Ayub Palash of Bestec Construction Ltd also attended the agreement-signing ceremony.
