Logo of 'Bashundhara Bangladesh Open 2015' unveiled

The logo of ‘Bashundhara Bangladesh Open 2015’ has been unveiled on Monday in a colourful launching ceremony at International Convention City, Bashundhara in the capital’s Jowar Shahara area.
Country’s first International Golf Tournament is going to take place from May 27 to May 29 at Kurmitola Golf Club under the title sponsorship of Bashundhara Group. A total of 150 noted golfers will participate in the tournament.
Additional Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Safwan Sobhan, Adviser of Bashundhara Group Lt. Col. (rtd) Khandakar Abdul Wahed, General Secretary of Bangladesh Golf Federation Brigadier General Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah, senior vice-president Major General Mizanur Rahman Khan and Golf Federation’s junior division president Major General Mohammad Masud Razzak was present in the ceremony and unveiled the logo jointly.
The ceremony also featured a contract signing between Bangladesh Gold Federation and Asian Tours.
Bangladesh Golf Federation secretary general Brigadier General Abul Fazal Mohammad Sanaullah and Asian Tours’ Tournament Director Fritz Katzengruber signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
On behalf of Bashundhara Group chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, Bashundhara Group Adviser Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Khandaker Abdul Wahed said that they were happy in arranging the golf tournament for the first time of its kind in Bangladesh.
He also upheld Bashundhara Group’s assistance in the development of sports in the country.
