Bangladesh Pratidin To Continue To Be People’s Voice: Sayem Sobhan Anvir

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir said on Sunday that the country’s leading Bengali daily Bangladesh Pratidin will continue to be the people’s voice and retain its position in print media sector through its objective journalism.

He made the view while addressing a ceremony, marking the 10th founding anniversary of the newspaper at its office in Bashundhara residential area of the capital on Sunday.

The Bashundhara Group MD greeted journalists and employees of the daily at its founding anniversary and wished its gradual progress in the days to come.

Speaking on the occasion, Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naem Nizam said the daily is committed to upholding its leading position by overcoming challenges which the print media is facing across the globe.

“The daily will retain its position by practicing objective journalism and working to protect pro-liberation spirit and public right,” he said.

Daily Sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milan, its Acting Editor Mostofa Kamal, Banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar, NEWS24 Head of Current Affairs Samia Rahman and its Head of News Rahul Raha, among others, were present.

The broadsheet began its journey on March 15, 2010 as an exquisite newspaper of East West Media Group Limited, a concern of the country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group.

Unlike other years, the management of the newspaper has arranged elaborate programmes under the given situation of the global coronavirus pandemic.

To promote objective journalism, Bangladesh Pratidin is playing a leading role which has resulted in wide readership and popularity at home and abroad.

Apart from Dhaka, Bangladesh Pratidin is being printed from Bogra to be sent to readers in remote north region timely.

The newspaper’s European and American editions are being printed from London and New York respectively.
