Physically challenged Nezam gets a new house

Nezam Uddin, a physically challenged resident of Mathiara village under Panchgachia union in Feni Sadar upazila, lost everything in the recent flash flood. He is currently struggling with his seriously ill wife and relies solely on donations to support his family as he has no permanent source of income. The devastating flood destroyed his tin roofed house.

After learning of Nezam’s situation, the Feni chapter of Bashundhara Shuvosangho has taken an initiative to rebuild his house on Friday, with Khurshid Alam, Moeen Uddin, and others contributed to the repairs.

Shuvosangho Feni chapter adviser Asaduzzaman Dara, president Faijul Haque Bappy, vice president Anwarul Islam, general secretary Nasim Anwar Jaki, and members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, among others, were present during the rehabilitation activities.

The rehabilitation efforts were coordinated under the integrated initiative “Ghure Darabe Feni.” Nasim Anwar Jaki noted that many residents in the area are living in poverty, and most of their homes have been severely damaged by the flood.

He assured the community that more homes would be repaired soon. Nezam Uddin expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bashundhara Group for providing him with a new residence.
