Bashundhara Shuvosangho has launched a month-long iftar programme in the capital’s Ibrahimpur, marking the holy month of Ramadan. Starting in the afternoon, people from all walks of life gathered on the Ibrahimpur Government Primary School premises. Members of Shuvosangho were busy preparing for iftar, with some arranging dates and sherbet, while others set up seating for the fasting attendees.

Masudur Rahman Manna, secretary to the chairman of Bashundhara Group, attended the open Iftar programme on the sixth day of Ramadan. Bashundhara Shuvosangho central committee vice-president Rafiul Ahmed Bappi and Saul Junction convener Abdullah Al Mahin were also present. Masudur Rahman Manna praised the humanitarian efforts of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, including the Iftar initiative  for underprivileged individuals.

“We aim to support the poor in our society. Bashundhara Shuvosangho has already been involved in various social initiatives, such as distributing sewing machines and establishing schools in different areas,” he said. Saul Junction, a volunteer group from Ibrahimpur, is working under the overall supervision of Bashundhara Shuvosangho in organising the month-long Iftar programme.
