Bashundhara Group MD Visits Agrani Bank

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir visited Agrani Bank Limited on Thursday.

During his visit, Sayem Sobhan Anvir paid a courtesy call on Agrani Bank Chairman Dr Zaid Bakht and Managing Director Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam at bank’s head office in Motijheel.

The daily Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milan, head of Banking and Business development of Bashundhara Group Md Razib Samad and high officials of Agrani Bank were also present at the meeting.

Sayem Sobhan Anvir later visited the ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ of the bank.

The corner is a dedicated section featuring publications on the life and works of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

During the meeting, Agrani Bank Managing Director Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam explained how he initiated the noble idea of setting up an exclusive Bangabandhu Corner at the bank.

Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam said the idea came into his mind in 2010 while he was a regional manager in Sylhet. Later, he set up two Bangabandhu Corners in the corporate office of Ansar VDP Unnayan Bank and Agrani Bank.

Shams-Ul Islam informed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of this initiative which the premier liked. After two or three months, the government had taken required measures to install Bangabandhu Corners in educational institutions all over Bangladesh, he narrated.

During the meeting, the bankers and Bashundhara Group Managing Director discussed various issues of mutual interests on the economy, business and development of the country.

Shams-Ul Islam said they are closely connected for more than three decades with Bashundhara Group which is working for the welfare of the people and development of the country.

Sayem Sobhan Anvir lauded the efforts of setting up Bangabandhu Corner at the bank in such a beautiful way.
