Bashundhara Group chairman calls on Indian Foreign Secretary

Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, chairman of Bashundhara Group, paid a courtesy call on visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Wednesday.

Shringla is on an official visit to Bangladesh from December 7-8 to discuss bilateral issues, including the preparation of Indian President Ram Nath Kovind's participation in the 50th Victory Day celebrations to be held in the capital later this month.

During the meeting, Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and Harsh Vardhan Shringla discussed issues relating to promotion of trades and economic ties.

Shringla lauded Bashundhara Group for making significant contributions to the trade, commerce and socioeconomic development of the country.

Both sides expected that the bilateral relations and business ties between the two next-door neighbours will continue to grow in the days to come for the benefit of the people of the two countries.

Shringla arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday morning for a two-day official visit to Bangladesh to hold meetings with Bangladesh leadership to further strengthen and consolidate the existing bilateral relations in addition to preparing the State Visit of Indian President Ram Nath Kovind to Bangladesh on December 15-17
