Signed a Contract for Commissioning The Cement

Bashundhara Group, a leading industrial and business conglomerate in the country, will soon set up two giant cement manufacturing plants with an objective to address the domestic demands cutting down dependence on imported cement. The proposed plants will be commissioned at Madanganj in Narayanganj near Dhaka and at Mongla Port Industrial Area in Khulna with projected combined production capacity of more than 12000 metric tons a day. The plants will be the largest and finest of its kind in the country mainly in terms of production capacity, plant technicalities and qualitative output. More than five thousand direct and thirty thousand indirect employments will be created when the plants go on full-swing production after the trial run in June next year. King Brand cement of the Meghna Cement Mills Limited, an enterprise of the Bashundhara Group, has already become one of the top popular brands of cement in the country. Sensing the ultimate physical growth of the country and the prospect of domestic market of cement, the management of the Bashundhara Group embarked upon the new ventures. Globally renowned cement, lime, gypsum and ceramic plant builder "GEBR. PFEIFFER AG" of Germany and its Indian partner GEBR. PFEIFFER (India) Private Limited is providing technical supports for the proposed projects. A contract of technical cooperation and commissioning of the plants has been signed between the GEBR. PFEIFFER AG Germany, GEBR. PFEIFFER (India) Private Limited and the Bashundhara Group today. Executive board member of the GEBR. PFEIFFER AG Germany Dr. Eduard Kulenkamp, President of GEBR.
