Sayem Sobhan Anvir Celebrates 3rd Anniversary of Kaler Kantho

The daily Kaler Kantho, a leading Bangla newspaper of the country and a concern of East West Media Group Ltd (EWMGL), stepped into the 4th year Thursday with a vow to foster impartial journalism in the country. A king-sized cake was cut on the premises of EWMGL in Bashundhara residential area in the city to mark completion of three years of the newspaper. Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan was present and felicitated the journalists and employees of Kaler Kantho on the occasion. He greeted Imdadul Haque Milon, editor of Kaler Kantho, with a bouquet on successful run of the newspaper. He also wishes continuous prosperity of Kaler Kantho and hopes the newspaper will achieve “more success in the future by practising impartial journalism.” Editor of Kaler Kantho Imdadul Haque Milon, Editor of daily sun Amir Hossain, Editor of Bangladesh Pratidin Nayeem Nizam and Editor of banglanews24.com Alamgir Hossain were present. Bashundhara Group Media Adviser Abu Tayeb, Advisory Editor of Kaler Kantho Amit Habib, its Executive Editor Mostafa Kamal, Executive Editor of Bangladesh Pratidin Pir Habibur Rahman, Senior Executive Director of Bashundhara Group Bidyut Kumar Bhoumik and Senior Executive Director of EWMGL Brig-General (Retd) Sheikh Ahmed Muktadir Arif were also present. Although the founding anniversary of Kaler Kantho was not celebrated with much fanfare this year, different organisations and noted personalities of the country warmly greeted the Kaler Kantho family by sending bouquets. The organisations include Dhaka Newspaper Hawkers Bahumukhi Samabay Samity Ltd, DGFI, Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort, Maasranga Television, GTV, Bangladesh Protidin, Masthead PR, Ocean Group, Top of Mind, Standard Chartered Bank, Islami Bank and Citycell.
