Sayem Sobhan Anvir and SASEC Signed an Agreement

Bashundhara Cement is going to be used for development of Mokamtola-Palashbari four-lane highway under the ‘SASEC Road Connectivity Project-II: Improvement of Elenga-Hatikumrul-Rangpur Road'.

China Construction Seventh Engineering Division Corporation on Thursday signed an agreement with Bashundhara Industrial Complex Ltd to use Bashundhara Cement for construction of the highway’s 29.9km road, bridge, culvert, overpass and underpass.

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir and SASEC (South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation) Road Connectivity (WP-10) Project Manager Zhang Zhong Wei penned the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at a hotel in the capital.
China Construction Seventh Engineering Division has decided to use Bashundhara Cement owing to the cement’s best quality and smooth supply system, they said at the programme.

Bashundhara Cement has been used in the country’s major projects, including Padma Bridge, river training of Padma Bridge, Rail Connectivity Project at Padma Bridge, Metro Rail, 1st Dhaka Elevated Expressway, Payra Bridge, SASEC-1, Western Bangladesh Bridge Improvement Project, S Alam Power Plant, Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, Matarbari coal-fired power plant and Rampal Power Station.

Among others, China Railway Engineering Corporation General Manager Guo Shichao, Material Manager Dong Zheng, Bashundhara Group advisors Major General (Retd) Mahbub Haider and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Tofail Hossain were present on the occasion.
