Kaler Kantho steps into 7th year

The Kaler Kantho, a leading Bangla daily, steps into the seventh year of its publication today. Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, the country’s leading business conglomerate, formally inaugurated the sixth anniversary programme of the daily by cutting a huge cake at its conference room at the East West Media Complex on Saturday evening. Ahmed Walid Sobhan, son of Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Imdadul Haq Milon, editor of the Kaler Kantho, Naem Nizam, editor of Bangladesh Pratidin, and MD Jamilur Rahman, editor of daily sun, were present at the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Sayem Sobhan Anvir hoped that the Kaler Kantho will continue its journey forward building on its success.
Advisory Editor of Kaler Kantho Amit Habib, Executive Editor Mostafa Kamal, Advisory Editor of daily sun Amir Hossain, Advertisement Department Head of Kaler Kantho ZM Ahmed Prince, Deputy General Manager Harunur Rashid, Deputy General Manager of Circulation Department Mir Abul Hasan and other journalists and officials of the East West Media Group were also present at the function.
A daylong anniversary programme of the Kaler Kantho, including exchange of greetings with the visitors, will be held at the East West Media Complex at Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital today. Also, Shuvo Sangho of the daily will bring out colorful processions at various places.
