India to maintain friendly ties with Bangladesh, says MJ Akbar

Indian State Minister for External Affairs Mobashar Jawed Akbar has said his country is committed to maintaining friendly relations with Bangladesh.   He made the remark while talking to Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir and Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naem Nizam at his office in New Delhi on Thursday.   Sayem Sobhan, also the Managing Director of East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL), a concern of Bashundhara Group, along with Naem Nizam made a courtesy call on the journalist turned-politician.   During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues and matters related to mutual interest.   Terming India-Bangladesh relations historic, MJ Akbar     said the existing ties between the two countries will deepen further in the days to come.
