Bashundhara to organise Sheikh Russel School Table Tennis Tournament

A four-day long ‘Sheikh Russel School Table Tennis Tournament’ is going to be organised by Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra, in association with Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation, from October 18 to 21, on the occasion of the 52nd birth anniversary of Sheikh Russel, youngest son of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Country’s one of the largest conglomerates Bashundhara Group will patronize the tournament and Bashundhara Cement will sponsor the competition. The jersey of the table tennis tournament was unveiled during a general meeting of Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra committee at Bashundhara on Thursday. Club Chairman and Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, Sayem Sobhan Anvir presided over the meeting. He hoped that with this tournament table tennis will get more attention towards the younger generation and they will engage in more sports competitions. Bashundhara Group is known for their participation in the sports arena of Bangladesh and for patronizing sports to the mass people of the country. The theme of the tournament is ‘Sports for Every Child’. The competition is to kick off with the slogan, ‘To ensure the right of playing and for better mental growth of the children’. All the matches of the meet will take place at Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in Dhaka.
