Bashundhara Shuvosangho Library Spreading Light of Knowledge

Some people who love literature are busy reading books in the late afternoon. A large number of books have been kept in the wooden shelves. People are reading books with pleasure. After reading, they leave the books in previous places again.

A few days ago, this scene was not visible. Now this is an everyday scene. Many students and elderly people come here to read books. Booklovers flock to the Pramanik intersection of Kalyanpur area under Daulatpur Upazila in Kushtia.

Recently ‘Bashundhara Shuvosangho Library’ has been established in this area. The library was inaugurated by renowned litterateur and daily Kaler Kantho Editor-in-Chief Imdadul Haq Milan.

Imdadul Haq Milan inaugurated another library at the regional office of Bashundhara Shuvosangho near the Six Raster Mor in Kushtia town. There are a lot of booklovers here too. In the afternoon, students from different areas of the town come here to read books. In remote areas like Daulatpur and Kushtia town, the library has received a good response.

Children who used to spend time playing mobile games are now leaning towards reading books. People of the area consider this very promising. Many people said that the two Bashundhara Shuvosangho Libraries in Kushtia are spreading the light of hope.

Who does not like to read books? And if it is a suitable environment for reading books or an open library, then what can be more happy news than this. People who love to read books can easily read it. Bashundhara Shuvosangho has created such a library for the general public. There is no alternative to reading books or going to library to gain knowledge.

While visiting the two libraries, it was seen that several young people were busy reading books on the tables. Many books are arranged in the shelf. Some of them are sitting on the chairs under the mango tree with books in their hands. Some people said they like to sit in the shade of trees and read a book in the autumn afternoon.

One of them, Rasel Ahmed, said, “I like reading books very much. I come here whenever I have time. There are different types of books. I can read books in a beautiful environment.”

Another booklover Sumaiya Khatun said, “We often come here with some friends to read books. The environment here is very nice.”

Locals said to develop oneself as an enlightened person, one should read more books. Bashundhara Shuvosangho Library is doing the job of making talented people.

Alhaj Rafiqul AlamTuku, President of Sachetan Nagorik Committee (SANAK) of Ishwardi, Pabna district branch, said, Bashundhara Shuvosangho Library will play a big role in motivating the young generation to read books.
