Bashundhara Foundation has provided financial assistance of Tk 5 lakh to Shoaib Mithun, a Senior Photo Journalist at Banglanews24.com, who has been suffering from colon cancer.
Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, handed over the fund to Mithun’s father Mojibur Rahman at ABG Tower in the Bashundhara residential area of the capital on Wednesday.
After receiving the fund, Mojibur Rahman, said, “I’m thankful to Bashundhara Group MD Sayem Sobhan Anvir for the help. I request everyone to pray for my son's recovery.”
Mithun’s Mother Rokeya Akter, Banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar, ABG Bashundhara Director Mostafa Azad Mohiuddin, Bashundhara Group Press and Media Adviser Mohammad Abu Tayeb among others were present on the occasion.
Abu Taiyab said that Senior Photo Journalist of Banglanews24.com Shoaib Mithun has been given financial support from the Bashundhara Foundation. Through this foundation, the Bashundhara Group provides financial aid to patients with cancer, and heart disease and underprivileged children and adolescents.
Bashundhara Foundation has been working for decades as part of humanitarian activities.
