Bashundhara Cup Golf Tournament-2023 ends in CTG Amid Festivity

The two-day Bashundhara Cup Golf Tournament 2023 concluded amid festivity at Bhatiary Golf and Country Club (BGCC) in Chattogram on Friday.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 24 Infantry Division, Chattogram Area Commander and BGCC President Major General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque attended the prize giving ceremony as the chief guest while ABG Bashundhara Director Mostafa Azad Mohiuddin was present as the special guest.
Addressing the ceremony, Maj Gen Shaheenul hailed Bashundhara Group for extending support for golf.
This is indeed a great pleasure to see that Bashundhara Group, one of the largest, finest and popular business conglomerates of the country, has sponsored golf in Bhatiary, he said.
“We know the business group is very enthusiastic about sponsoring various games and sports in the country, and they extended support for golf for the second time,” Shaheenul continued.
Thanking all for the smooth arrangement of the tournament, he said the number of participating golfers was the highest so far.
Around 250 golfers took part in the competition in different categories, including senior, lady, and junior.
Col Md Enamul Islam was the winner while Maharus Uddin won the best gross and Lt Col Md Abu Faysal Tushar the runner-up awards.

Architect AAM Muzahid Baig won the 2nd best gross award while Kafil Uddin Yusuf secured the 2nd runner-up position.
Cdr Ikhtear Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury won the best front nine award while Cdr Imtiaz Uddin Md Sabir bagged the best back nine, Mohammad Sazzadur Rahman the 9 hole, Mohammad Salim the 9 hole best gross, and Dr Md Shahidullah Chowdhury the 9 hole runner-up awards.
Besides, Mahibah Mahasin Uddin became the winner in the lady category while Kim in Sook won the runner-up award.
JK Kang secured the senior winner award, and Lt Col (retd) Forkan Ahmed became the senior runner-up.
Muhtasim Islam won the junior winner award while Farhanul Islam got the junior runner-up award.
Dr Abu Khaled Md Iqbal secured the longest drive award while Mohammad Saif Uddin Mamun got the nearest to pin, Kyeng Chul An the best par 3s, and Maj (retd) Md Mokaddes Hossain the best par 5s awards.
