24,000 Families in 8 Districts of Rangpur Division Receive Food Aid From Bashundhara Group

Bashundhara Group, one of the biggest business conglomerates of the country, has distributed relief among helpless people across the country. Shuvasangha, a social organisation of Kaler Kantho, has distributed the relief items to over 24,000 families in 58 upazilas of eight districts of Rangpur division on behalf of the Bashundhara Group.

Shuvasangha gifts steel almirah to orphanage

Kaler Kantho’s Shuvasangha Chakaria unit has given a steel almirah to Khatib-e-Azam (Rah) Hifzkhana and Orphanage in Baniyarchhara of Baraitali Union under Chokoria upazila of Cox's Bazar at a programme recently.

The institution has been facing problem to keep their essential books and other items for long. The teachers and students of the institution expressed their gratitude to Bashundhara Group for standing by them.

The almirah has been provided with the financial support of Abdul Mannan, president of the local Baraitali Union Expatriate Association and two Dubai expatriates, who are well-wishers of Shuvasangha.

Maulana Mohammad Hasan, Chief of Darul Ulum Al Islamia Madrasa, Darul Ulum Noorani Academy, Khatib-e-Azam (Rah) Hifzkhana and Orphanage, teachers Hafez Abu Yusuf, Maulana Md Omar Farooq, Maulana Md Hizbullah, Maulana Enamul Haque, Hafez Kafil Uddin, Hafez Nurul Islam, Maulana Mamunul Haque, Maulana Jalal Uddin, among others, were present during the ceremony.

Senior vice president of Shuvasangha Chhoton Kanti Nath, central member and president of Chakaria unit of Shuvasangha Abul Masroor, executive members Anisul Islam Farooqui, Arif Mainuddin Rakib Chowdhury and Insurance official Monir Uddin and others were present in the programme on behalf of Shuvasangha.

130 families of Jashore’s Keshabpur get Eid gifts

The Kaler Kantho, one of the leading Bengali national dailies of Bashundhara Group, distributed Eid gifts to 130 poor and helpless families on behalf of the leading business conglomerate of the country.

Shuvasangha, a social organisation of Kaler Kantho, organised the programme at the Hall Room of Keshabpur Press Club.

The organisation distributed Vermichili, sugar, milk and raisins to each family.

Presided over by Basudeb Sen Gupta, senior vice-president of Shuvasangha, the event was addressed by Shuvasangha’ Keshabpur upazila unit adviser and Municipal Mayor Rafiqul Islam, Advocate Abdul Majid, Bazlur Rahman Khan, Principal Asim Ghosh, Acting Principal Farooq Azam, Prabir Sarkar, Joydev Chakraborty, Utpal Dey and Rehena Firoz.

Shawkat Hossain, Hasina Khatun, Kamruzzaman Raju, Aliyar Rahman, Sohael Parvez, Swadhin Mohammad Abdullah, among others, were present in the distribution programme.

Shuvasangha distributes masks in Bhaluka

Shuvasangha distributed masks in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh as part of raising awareness among the people over the ongoing surge of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organisation’s Bhaluka unit distributed masks among people of different classes and professions, including pedestrians, rickshaw pullers, CNG auto-rickshaw drivers, hawkers and shop keepers, at Bhaluka Bus Stand area and on Bhaluka- Gafargaon road.

Md Mahabub Alam Bachchu, Shubhsangha-Bandhu Afzal Fahim Khan Ejaz, Selim Mia, Emdaduzzaman Jamim, Navin Tarafdar, Zahidul Islam Jinu, Aminul Islam, executive Member Arif Mohammad Uday, Sheikh Mohammad Alamgir, among others, were present.

People in the area welcomed the mask distribution programme of the organisation in the corona situation and called upon other local social organisations to come forward in this regard.
