LP gas (for vehicle) and LPG vaporizer—two products of Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd have earned fabulous attention of visitors at the stall of the company at the National Centricity Fair-2015 in the city.
The three-day fair that was arranged marking the National Electricity Week-2015 with the slogan ‘Towards the Path of Light’ at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital ended on Saturday.
Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd (BLPGL), a sister concern of the country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, showcased its products at the stall.
A total of 303 stalls were arranged at the fair site where 106 government, private and international organisations displayed their products.
“During the fair, a good number of visitors including businessmen, small and big entrepreneurs, dealers, retailers and general consumers thronged at our stall to know details about all products of Bashundhara LP Gas,” said Engineer Mohammad Jahidul Islam, Head of Division (operation and planning) of BLPGL.
“Most of the businessmen and entrepreneurs inquired about ins and outs of auto LP gas and vaporizer as these are safe and environment friendly,” he said.
“Auto LP gas is not widely used in vehicles in the country. It is called clean fuel which is cheaper than oil and also safer than compressed natural gas (CNG),” the engineer said.
“Most of the visitors asked about the cost of auto LP gas conversion from oil-run one and also to know about the cylinders. We inform them that the cost of converting a car to a LPG driven vehicle is just half than to CNG run one. Because, Tk 70,000 is needed now to convert a petrol-run car into a CNG-driven one, whereas it cost Tk 35,000 only to convert a car into LPG gas-burn vehicle.”
“We are also informing the eager visitors that LPG will also cut the fuel cost. Besides, LPG kits are 40-50 percent cheaper than CNG, and LPG cylinder is very light as compared to CNG,” he said.
“Apart from auto LPG, industrialists, realtors and entrepreneurs, who need to use large scale of gas, asked about LPG vaporizer. We inform them that they can use LPG gas in large scale using small space by installing LPG vaporizer in the industries, apartments, and hotels,” the BLPGL official informed.
Muktadir Ahmed, a businessman, who inquired about auto LP gas, said “I use CNG-run car. I have come here to know details about LP gas for vehicle.”
“So far I learnt about LP gas…I think this will be safe than CNG,” he said.
Another visitor named Jasim Uddin, an official of a private bank, said “I have been using a car run by CNG for last three years. Now I am planning to convert my car into LP gas as it is cheaper.”
The officials, who were briefing the visitors at the stall, said LP gas dealers, retailers and consumers also came to the stall to know about regular LP gas cylinders which are popular across the country.
At present BLPGL is manufacturing three types —12 kg, 30 kg and 45 kg of LPG cylinders.
