Milad Mahfil for Bangabandhu at Bashundhara City

A doa and milad mahfil on the occasion of the 40th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day was held at Bashundhara City shopping complex in the city after Asr prayers on Saturday. Bashundhara City, a concern of country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, organised the programme seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage. TIM Latiful Hossain, senior adviser (technical) to the Chairman of Bashundhara Group, Sheikh Abdul Alim, senior executive director of Bashundhara City, and Liakat Hossain, senior executive director (land) of Bashundhara Group, among others, were present at the programme. AKM Hannan, president of Bashundhara City Shop Owners’ Association, and its vice-president Golam Mawla were also present. Maulana Delwar Hossain conducted the munajat. Prayers were also offered seeking the country’s continued peace, progress and prosperity. Recalling Bangabandhu’s heroic leadership and greatest contribution to the country’s independence, Latiful Hossain urged all to transform the grief into strength with an aim to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh as dreamt by Bangabandhu.
