We’ll be ahead of everyone in world: Sayem Sobhan Anvir

We’ll be Ahead of Everyone in World- Sayem Sobhan Anvir

Bashundhara Group Managing Director and Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has said the gold traders of Bangladesh and India can together prove before the world that they are most advanced among all jewellery manufacturers in South Asia.

“We want you to come to our country. We’ll also come to your country. We’ll export together by keeping the brotherhood intact. We’ll show the world that we’re the most advanced and different among all the jewellery manufacturers in South Asia,” he said, addressing the Indian businessmen.

Sayem Sobhan Anvir made the remarks while speaking on the inaugural day of the first-ever Bangladesh-India  B2B jewellery summit ‘Sonar Bangla’ as chief guest at five-star hotel The Leela Goa in the Indian state of Goa recently.

The event was organised by Indian company KNC Services Ltd.

The BAJUS President said India and Bangladesh have a brotherly relationship and a brother should help other to move forward together.

Thanking all the participants, he said, “I’m very excited to take part in this event and the way you’ve appreciated me has changed my attitude.”

“A single hand is not enough for clapping. Clapping requires both hands. Therefore, we want the two countries to work together,” Sayem Sobhan Anvir said.

“We’ve planned and we haven’t stopped,” he said, adding that now it is time to start, it is time to move on.

The Bashundhara Group Managing Director also urged the Indian businessmen not to do any kind of joint business with any Bangladeshi jewellery trader who is not a member of BAJUS, saying it will destroy the business reputation. “You all know there’re some problems in this area of our business,” he said.

“If you do joint business with all traders, our market will be affected and they’ll ruin the reputation of our two countries. Please don’t go into joint business with everyone. We’ll work with you here and we seek similar cooperation from you.”

Addressing the Indian jewellery traders, the BAJUS President said Indian jewellery designs are truly eye-catching and Bangladeshi workers are also very skilled. “So, two brothers should do business together.”

“I believe if we work together, none will be able to suppress us. One day this industry will go far. We’ll be ahead of everyone in the world. Therefore, help us and on behalf of Bangladesh, we’ll help you the maximum,” he said.

Sayem Sobhan Anvir promised to extend all-out support to the Indian jewellery businessmen. “I want to give a message to everyone present here. Being the President of Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity, I promise all of you that I’ll help you in every possible way. Just tell me what you want to do. I’ll come forward on behalf of my country,” the iconic young business leader said.
