Bashundhara Corporate Cricket & Badminton Tournament kicks off

A month-long Bashundhara Corporate Cricket and Badminton Tournament – 2012 began at the playground of the East West Media Group Limited.The Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan inaugurated the tournament yesterday afternoon. Sixty four pairs of shuttlers are competing for the title in the badminton tournament while three cricket teams comprise of the members from three sectors of the group – media, land and industry will compete in the cricket tournament. Addressing the vibrant crowd Mr. Sobhan said, “Games and sports play a very important role in construction of a society, it involves the youths in constructive works and helps them grow up with positive mind. Bashundhara has always been a patron of games and sports in the national and international arena and it will always remain so.” He thanked the participants, organizing committee and everyone else attached to this event and hoped for the greater participation in the years to come. The Executive Director (A & F) of East West Property Development (Pvt) Limited Md. Imrul Hassan presented the welcome speech.
