Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest industrial conglomerate, started distributing blankets to the impoverished families in the villages of Sunamganj’s haor areas on Saturday. The ongoing cold spell has prompted Bashundhara Shuvosangho, a humanitarian organisation of the Bashundhara Group, to distribute blankets to over 500 families along the haor areas in Madhyanagar upazila of the district. May Allah bless the owners of the Bashundhara Group for their generosity.” Other villagers, including Abdur Razzak, Nayeb Ali, Mamta Barman, Labanya Sarkar, and Pramoda Barman, echoed the same, sharing their happiness at receiving blankets for the first time. The distribution event witnessed the presence of Zakaria Zaman, Shuvosangho director and senior assistant editor of the Daily Kaler Kantho, Sanjib Ranjan Talukdar, chairman of Madhyanagar Sadar union parishad, Golam Sarwar Liton, advisor of Tahirpur upazila Shuvosangho, journalist Jahangir Alam Bhuiyan, Al Amin Salman, Madhyanagar correspondent of the Daily Kaler Kantho, and upazila Awami League General Secretary Paritosh Sarkar.
