A total of 10,500 families are going to get Eid gifts from the chairman of the country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.
The items will be distributed among poor families in Dhaka, Manikganj and its adjacent areas as a part of its continued support towards the underprivileged people in the country.
The gift includes 1 liter soyabean oil, 2 kg aromatic rice, 3 kg minicate rice, 2 kg Atta, one packet vermicelli, and 1 kg sugar.
Earlier on Friday, ICCB Chief Operating Officer MM Jasim Uddin handed over the gift items to councillors and other representatives of seven Wards under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) for distribution on behalf of Bashundhara Chairman from International Convention City Bashundhara.
“We will hand over more 3,500 packets of food items to councilors today for distribution among poor people. The officials of ICCB voluntarily packed the gifts items”, MM Jasim Uddin said.
