Bashundhara Group distributed food items among flood-affected people in Daulatpur upazila of Manikganj on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police of the district Rifat Rahman Shamim handed out the relief materials to 500 flood-hit people in Baser Molla area of Charkataree union in the upazila.
Additional SPs Hafizur Rahman, Raihan Hossain and Tania Sultana, Daulatpur Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Rezaul Karim and Shibaloy Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Firoz Kabir, among others, were present on the occasion.
Food aid package includes 5 kg rice, 5 kg wheat and 1 kg lentil.
Appreciating the humanitarian assistance from Bashundhara Group, SP Rifat Rahman said the company has showed great humanitarian approach to flood-affected people by distributing the food items.
Bashundhara Group Chairman’s Chief Advisor Mahbub Morshed Hasan said the business conglomerate will continue providing aid until the flood situation improves.
Over 6,500 families across Manikganj have received food aid from Bashundhara Group through administration and public representatives amid the flood and the pandemic.
