Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) Senior Vice-President Gulzar Ahmed has said the Sonar Bangla business summit is a milestone for the country’s jewellery industry at the international level.
“The jewellery industry in Bangladesh has made a breakthrough under the leadership of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir. The summit adds a new dimension to his vision to promote gold exports from Bangladesh. Investors in India will invest in the gold industry in Bangladesh utilizing local labour,” Gulzar Ahmed, also the proprietor of Apan Jewellers, told the Daily Sun.
Seasoned businessman Gulzar Ahmed said BAJUS President sought technological support from India to flourish the gold industry in Bangladesh as the country is getting its first gold refinery to be set up by Bashundhara Group.
