Bashundhara Cement became the title sponsor of the Bangladesh-Zimbabwe series which scheduled to begin from October 25 with the first Test match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka.
Bangladesh cricket board (BCB) organised a title-ship declaration ceremony on Monday afternoon at the SBNCS conference room. The logo of the tournament was formally unveiled during the ceremony.
BCB director Jalal Younus said, “We are delighted that a company like Bashundhara group started their journey with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to become a partner. We have more domestic cricket competitions ahead and we hope that Bashundhara will come forward for the betterment of cricket in future.”
Bashundhara Group Head of Department of Brand and Marketing SM Jasim Uddin said, “Bashundhara was always with sports and their aim is to develop cricket academically. In the coming days Bashundhara would work for the development of country’s cricket.”
BCB chief executive officer Nazim Uddiin Chowdhury, Bashundhara Group advisor Major General (retd) Mahbub Hyder Khan, among others, was present on the occasion.
