‘Bashundhara Paper makes country self-reliant in paper production’
Mohammad Mustafizur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the Bashundhara Group, made the observation while presenting gifts to the winners of ‘Bashundhara A4 Paper Mobile Recharge Campaign’ at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarter-2 in the city on Monday.
Md Masuduzzaman, Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) of Bashundhara Paper Mills, was also present at the programme.
Mustafizur Rahman, in his speech, said once the country’s paper sector depended fully on import, but now the scenario has changed.
“Bashundhara paper has grabbed a major share of the market since its inception, and now the company is exporting paper abroad. It also helps the country become self-reliant in paper sector”, he said.
About the campaign, he said this programme helped check counterfeit paper and they have planned to launch more campaign programmes in future.
Md Masuduzzaman said the main target of the campaign programme was to prevent fake paper in the market through launching the programme.
Explaining the scratch card offer, he said, “We launched an offer for the A4 paper customers. Customers who bought a reel of Bashundhara A4 paper received a scratch-card containing a secret number. Customers were asked to send an SMS to the secret number and got Tk 10 mobile recharge instantly.”
He further said Bashundhara Group is very much unique in doing business and does business for the country and its people. Paper is such a brand product which is very much related to creative work.
The campaign, conducted in three phases, ended on Monday. Two lucky winners got mobile prize in the first phase and three lucky winners won laptop and mobile set in second phase and three more winners won mobile handsets in the final phase.
Md Firoz-Ur-Rahman of Pabna, Md Salauddin of Savar and Rokibul Hasan of Dhaka won the prizes in the closing phase.
