Bashundhara Kings coach Oscar Bruzon in city
Bashundhara Kings’ new head coach Oscar Bruzon Barreras, a famous name in the football coaching arena, has arrived in Dhaka on Monday, to take the mentor’s responsibility of new look Bashundhara Kings squad.
Bashundhara Kings officials cordially received the Spaniard coach at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city.
Football club Bashundhara Kings are all set to join the top tier clubs of the country in the forthcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2018-19 season.
The BPL football will roll on the grounds in November this year and Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has agreed to take the tournament outside the capital so that the participating teams can play in their home venues and the people across the country can enjoy domestic football sitting in the galleries.
Internationally acclaimed coach Bruzon with his promising Kings squad will surely be a favourite for the BPL title this year.
Bruzon, the forty-year old Spaniard is professional football manager and former football player. He is an experienced head coach and an UEFA Pro license holder.
Bruzon played his professional football mainly in the second division of Spanish football, the Segunda Division, with Celta de Vigo, Universidad de Las Palmas CF, and Pontevedra.
He is the first Spanish coach who has managed Clubs in India both in the I-League (India League) and the Indian Super league (ISL). His teams are characterised by the good treatment of the ball, high intensity and an optimal working ratio.
He won all the major trophies in his first season at Maldives. Bruzon is a highly qualified and ambitious professional football coach with over 12 years of experience coaching across the world with extensive stints in Europe and Asia.
He gained tremendous experience with more than 100 official games as a head coach in premier leagues, participated in international competitions such as AFC Cup and as a player at the UEFA Intertoto.
Meanwhile, Bashundhara Kings has signed a bunch of local talents and senior national players for their maiden BPL campaign. Manaf Rabby, Krishna Kumar, Shoaib, Rakibul Hasan Tushar, Hemonto Vincent Biswas, Didarul Haque, Salahuddin, Towhidul Alam Sabuj, Nurul Nayeem Faisal, Mohammad Ibrahim, Bishal Das and Awlad – all these players have signed contract papers to represent Kings in the ground in 2018-19 season.
