Bashundhara Group vice-chairman stands by one-legged girl

Bashundhara Group Vice- Chairman Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir has stood by an underprivileged girl of Rajshahi, who lost one of her legs in a train accident and is now struggling for survival.
Sonia, the ill-fated girl, hails from west Dhopapara Village under Puthia Upazila of the district. She received professional training after passing Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination. Her artificial leg was damaged just five days before joining work.

On behalf of Bashundhara Group, BMFL Deputy General Manager Redwanur Rahman handed over Tk 100,000 and other gifts to the family of Sonia.
In her reaction, Sonia expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Bashundhara Group Vice Chairman.
“I am pleased and happy. It’s a red-letter day for me indeed,” she said.
Earlier in 2014, Lab Aid Group extended support to Sonia by providing a prosthetic leg.
Besides, Rajshahi range’s former deputy inspector general Meer Shahidul Islam took responsibility for educational expenses of Sonia.
