Bashundhara Ad-din Hospital docs provide treatment

Jalal Commissioner Memorial Foundation in collaboration with Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College and Hospital held a free daylong medical camp in Munshiganj on Tuesday to provide medical services for the impoverished people.
The free medical camp was organised on the occasion of the 15th death anniversary of former president of Munshiganj district unit Awami League Jalal Uddin.
As many as 950 poor people received treatment and medicine free of cost in the old bus stand area in Munshiganj.
Deputy Commissioner of Munshiganj Mohammad Mohiuddin inaugurated the camp as the chief guest in the morning. Later, Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das, also lawmaker of Munshiganj-3 constituency, visited the medical camp at noon while Munshiganj municipality mayor Eradat Manu attended the camp in the evening.
Munshiganj Civil Surgeon Dr Shahidul Islam and Assistant Superintendent of Police (Sadar) Mahfuzur Rahman were present at the camp.
Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital assistant director Dr Wahida Hasin, hospital manager Md Tayubur Rahman, head of eye department Dr Ruhul Amin, medical officer Dr Safayat Jamil, child specialist Dr Yusuf Hira, medicine specialist Dr AKM Saifuzzaman and gynecologist Dr Sharmin administered treatment to patients.
General Secretary of Jalal Commissioner Memorial Foundation Nargis Akter said that specialists from different department, including gynecology, medicine, child and eye, gave free medical treatment to more than 900 people.
Among others, Motiul Islam Hiromno, vice-president of Red Crescent, Munshiganj unit, Munshiganj Press Club general secretary Kazi Sabbir Ahmed, Sadar upazila freedom fighter commander MA Kader Molla and a number of Red Crescent officials were present at the camp.
