Bangladesh Pratidin steps into 7th year

Bangladesh Pratidin, the largest circulated Bangla daily in the country, steps into its 7th year of publication today.
On the occasion, Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir and Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir formally inaugurated the celebrations marking the sixth founding anniversary of the newspaper by cutting a giant cake at its office in the capital on Monday night.
Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naem Nizam, Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milon, Banglanews24.com Editor-in-Chief Alamgir Hossain, daily sun Editor MD Jamilur Rahman and Advisory Editor Amir Hossain, Bangladesh Pratidin Deputy Editor Mahmud Hasan and Publisher of Kaler Kantho, Bangladesh Pratidin and daily sun Maynal Hossain Chowdhury, among others, were present at the ceremony.
The daily will hold a daylong anniversary programme, including exchange of greetings with noted personalities and guests, at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital today.
To mark the day, the premises of East West Media Group Ltd. have been tastefully decorated.
Bangladesh Pratidin started its journey on March 15 in 2010 with the slogan: ‘Amra Jonogoner Pokkhe’ (We are for the people) and eventually earned a huge popularity among the readers at home and abroad.
